Stripperverse Background
May. 14th, 2014 08:12 amLoki is the second son of one of the largest foreign-based corporations in the world, Asgard Industries. He grew up in Norway, with his parents, Odin and Frigga, and his brother Thor. But unlike Thor, the golden boy, Loki has a dark side. Thor and his friends threw big parties, got drunk and started fights, but didn't do anything illegal. Loki contacted a local gang and caused some trouble, getting Thor in trouble when he was close to taking his place as CEO of Asgard.
Ultimately, the whole impulsive scheme blew up in Loki's face. He found out he was adopted, that his father, the leader of the same organized crime syndicate that Loki toyed with for fun, was in prison for life for the murder of Loki's real mother. Loki had been left out with the trash - literally, and adopted by Odin and Frigga. This argument ended in Odin being rushed to the hospital, and Loki took over as temporary CEO of Asgard, but when everything came to light, he left the family behind in a big tantrum.
His credit cards lasted him long enough to buy a plane ticket to America. Then when he landed, they weren't working anymore. He was homeless and destitute, and too proud to call his father and beg for forgiveness.
He turned some tricks and hitchhiked and busked, trying to stay afloat. When Erik found him, and recognized his skills both as a performer and a pretty shameless slut, he was recruited and brought to Valhalla.
Loki's plan involves making as much cash as he can as quickly as he can, and performing a hostile takeover of Asgard's major subsidiary in the United States - Midgard Holdings. During his exile, he stumbled over an extremely violent gang led by a shadowy figure named Thanos. His second was - and is - abusive to Loki, but they've offered him the backing he will need to carry out his plan. Once he has the seed money, and has proven his worth to the gang, they will provide him with the additional resources he needs to take his place as the CEO of Midgard. After that, Odin can't help to recognize that Loki is a better choice than Thor, and welcome him back to the family.
So in addition to working for Tony on the up and up, Loki is whoring himself under the table for hundreds or thousands of dollars a night, and squirrelling the money away, investing it as best he can. The gang will probably want him to deal drugs as well, but he's hesitant to get involved in that side of things or get in too deep with them. Of course, he likely has no choice in the end. He will, at some point, come back from a secret meeting with his handler, bruised and hurting.
Loki is lonely, terrified, and hates himself deeply. He believes that he's the spawn of a monster, and unloved and unlovable, and deserving of pain. Rejected and used by everyone who ever claimed to care about him - except his mother, of course. And his brother is just stupid and unworthy of the position of power that Loki is far better suited for. His walls are high and thick, but not that difficult to crack.
